At the height of the ICO craze between 2017 and 2018, 4 out of 5 ICO projects collapsed, either because they were fraudulent or because they didn’t work as expected. Investors lost billions of dollars while some became skeptical of crypto projects.

After this hype, new companies launching ICOs learned from their mistakes and established more powerful projects. As a result, ICOs have received a higher success rate. But still, not all ICOs are worth buying. If you are new to the ICO space, the easiest way is to head to projects listed among the best. These ICOs always have limited risks with relatively high returns.

Some of the top ICO projects of 2022 include IMPT, Big Eyes, and Oryen. All three projects have received massive support from the crypto community, with Oryen’s support arguably being the strongest. Oryen’s symbolic performance is proof of the success of this ICO. The token gained 100% after just one month. $IMPT and Big Eyes also have outstanding performance, but not as much as $ORY.

What is the Oryen network?

Oryen Network is a decentralized staking platform, i.e. a blockchain platform that allows users to lock up their digital assets, like in a conventional bank’s fixed deposit account. In return, the user earns interest which is given to him periodically. Oryen staking offers hourly interest payments, and the interest rate is set at 90% per annum, payable in $ORY.

Oryen Network rewards users for holding its tokens through purchase and sale taxes. These taxes generate more $ORY distributed to liquidity pools, Oryen’s unique risk-free value (RFV) portfolio, and treasury development. Together, the features help secure the network and provide additional returns for investors.

Oryen developers have also built efficient smart contracts on top of the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), leveraging the speed, low fees, and efficiency of the blockchain. The protocol also performs independent smart contract audits to identify and fix protocol vulnerabilities, preventing potential breaches.

Oryen’s ICO performance

The Oryen The project launched its ICO in late September, trading $ORY at $0.05. The token rose in value gradually over a month to reach $0.11 at the end of phase 2. The ongoing phase 3 presale will also see a price increase, with bonuses for early investors.

The project has added over 2,500 new and unique listings to its ICO, increasing demand for $ORY. Part of this success is due to Oryen’s easy to use web platform which has simplified members register to join the ICO. The dynamic pricing and bonuses planned for the current presale are as follows:

How does IMPT work?

TAX is a blockchain protocol that connects businesses to climate action institutions, allowing businesses to fund their efforts to offset corporate-generated carbon emissions. Businesses can buy carbon credits on the platform using its utility token, $IMPT.

Climate programs can then deploy the funds generated to execute their plans and work towards environmental conservation. IMPT is primarily a platform that simplifies the process for companies to limit their carbon footprint and have a positive impact on society.

What are big eyes?

Big Eyes ($BIG) is the latest meme coin in the crypto market. The community token sets itself apart from the rest by being a cat-themed crypto and taking on the attributes of a cat, such as warmth and charm.

The project is developing an NFT marketplace, merchandise store, and charity wallet to provide users with a comprehensive experience with a focus on community empowerment. Big Eyes aims to catalyze the growth of its community with these features and build a strong support base for the token.

The essential

Oryen is a very successful ICO alongside IMPT and Big Eyes. All three are good choices for a beginner in the ICO field. If you are looking to invest in a token, then $ORY is the most preferred considering the massive ROI.

Forest treasures make delicious gifts https://daisykitten.net/forest-treasures-make-delicious-gifts/ Sun, 13 Nov 2022 09:00:41 +0000 https://daisykitten.net/forest-treasures-make-delicious-gifts/ One of my favorite gifts to special friends and family is “combinations” of garden/forest gleanings and purchased items. One of my favorite gifts to special friends and family is “combinations” of garden/forest gleanings and purchased items.

The “potpourri” of the woods – in the form of cedar and evergreen sprigs, tiny cones, birch back curls, attractive lichens and dried seed heads – is collected throughout the year and stored in bags for the holidays. I sort mine now, to nestle in cute bowls picked up from flea markets (or high-priced department stores, as you like).

If you are a lover of dried flowers, this idea also serves you. Perhaps a pretty purchased pillar candle could stand in the center, or a meaningful sculpture that suits the tastes of the recipient. Cute fake bird nests are also popular, containing adorable craft birds or a clutch of fake bird eggs.

Speaking of bird nests, feathers are “de rigueur” for decoration now, and if you’re as lucky as me, you can enjoy the remains of the many flocks of wild turkeys that roam our area. My big sanctuary of fir trees is a gathering place for them, as sunflower seeds spill from the feeders hanging above.

These great birds not only clean up the mess, but leave beautiful feathers as a gift. I collected enough to make three or four lovely “bouquets” for some of my pickiest friends. Tied with a gold bow and presented as is – or in a unique pewter or brass urn (also from the thrift store), they are “instant gifts” from the hand (or tail) of nature herself. By the way, the other “waste” from the turkeys makes great fertilizer for most plants of all stripes, just make sure it’s totally dry if you’re going to use it in houseplants.

Herbs separated from your garden beds are another welcome gift. Rosemary, chives, sage and lavender are possibilities. Chives do well in a variety of pots and will stand tall on a sunny windowsill to light up soups and baked potatoes.

I recently purchased a large and beautiful pale blue stoneware urn with a gold lace pattern. At the time, I had no idea what I would do with it, but I just had to have it – you know how it goes. The other day I decided this would be perfect for a rosemary plant, but unfortunately my rosemary did not survive my too late transplanting efforts. Luckily, when I was shopping at Yoke, what else should they have but rosemary! Voila — a perfect gift for a very special daughter-in-law!

One of my annual gifts to many family members is a calendar reflecting their personal loves – cats, gardens, owls, etc. several months.

Seed lovers too can delight their gardening friends by giving them a few small glassine envelopes of a few favorites (clearly marked) as a gift, accompanied by a card giving care instructions, packaged with a beautiful trowel or a trio of pretty flower pots (perhaps handmade). -painted for you artists there)?

Another part-crafted, part-purchased gift is literally “for the birds.” If your talent is carpentry, make simple bird feeders. A simple low box bottom with corner posts holding up a pitched roof is all it takes.

Tie a bag of black oil sunflower seeds and voila! A much appreciated gift. A klutz with a hammer and nails? Me too, but don’t give up! Mix a good mixture of birdseed, suet and peanut butter and put it in large pine cones or make it into balls or cakes held in fabric (makes it a kind of wire), and tie twine to hang in trees, large bushes or under eaves. Your friends and their feathered loads will love them!

Most of us don’t have the money – but when you cook, garden, pick or enjoy crafts, you can always find a combo gift that showcases your talent with a modest purchase. They are truly gifts from the heart.

In a world first, WA-based gold miner Westgold Resources and leading Caterpillar equipment supplier, WesTrac, will put a new diesel-electric hybrid underground loader to work for the miner’s operations in the Midwest. Westgold’s recent purchase of the new Cat R2900 XE underground loader is focused on delivering a range of productivity, efficiency and sustainability improvements at the miner’s Starlight mine in the Midwest region of the United States. State of Washington.

The new diesel-electric hybrid powertrain combines a Cat C15 engine with a Cat switched reluctance electric drive system, which has already been applied on surface machines such as the 988K XE wheel loader.

The new Cat R2900 XE, which was handed over to Westgold at an event at WestTrac’s Washington headquarters, is the first delivery of this loader worldwide. The machine will be available in the wider Australian market in early 2023. Among the promised benefits, manufacturer Caterpillar says the diesel-electric hybrid combination offers an improvement of more than 31% in fuel efficiency, as well as maintenance costs. reduced and greater productivity compared to previous models.

According to Westgold Managing Director Wayne Bramwell, innovation is one of Westgold’s main drivers for improving mine productivity and profitability. “Westgold, as an owner-operator, has a history of implementing new technologies and equipment that can deliver greater operational efficiencies and lower costs in our WA operations,” he said.

“The company has quietly piloted and then commercialized innovative solutions for many years in our underground mines and the acquisition of the new R2900 XE continues this approach. We don’t celebrate our successes enough and tend not to make much noise about them, but we constantly challenge our employees and key business partners to find ways to make the business more sustainable and efficient. He said that, like most Australian miners, ESG was a critical and growing aspect of Westgold’s business, being important to shareholders, staff and other stakeholders.

“Our approach in this area is to look for incremental changes that can reduce our diesel consumption and emissions. Continuously updating our extensive mobile fleet with the latest, lower-emission and more efficient equipment allows us to achieve multiple benefits at once.

While being a frontrunner when it comes to implementing new technology may not be the preferred path for some mid-tier miners, the company says it has approached being the first Cat R2900 XE user to the world as a natural progression as it builds on its fleet of 18 of the R2900 XE’s predecessor, Cat R2900G loaders.

Westgold chief operating officer Phillip Wilding said the company had been a test bed for a number of competing machines but with the need to add another underground loader to Westgold’s fleet , efficiency, reliability and proven performance were the main deciding factors. “The R2900 XE is built on the Caterpillar platform, and the Cat R2900G is a proven tool,” said Wilding.

“Our Bryah and Murchison operations are several hundred miles from a service center, so we need equipment that we know is tough and reliable, and Caterpillar ticks those boxes.”

In addition to reported fuel efficiency gains, the Cat R2900 XE offers more than 35% improvement in breakout force, increased total payload of 18.5 t and more than 50% improvement in acceleration in the 0-20 km/h range compared to the Cat R2900G.

Caterpillar Product Application Specialist Gordon Wilkin said the Cat R2900 XE was the result of continued customer and industry demands for cleaner, yet more productive equipment that lowers total cost of ownership. “When it comes to improving equipment durability, and especially in underground mining applications, Caterpillar should consider reducing machine emissions, including exhaust, heat and noise, while guaranteeing improvements in safety and productivity,” said Wilkin.

“We are also constantly innovating to offer further reduction in operator fatigue, reducing maintenance requirements and automating functions to lower total cost of ownership. Caterpillar continues to develop and expand the line of electrically powered equipment to meet many of these requirements.

WesTrac Executive General Sales Manager Geoff Bailey said it was exciting to see the world’s first collaboration take place in WA. “We often see these kinds of first use milestones happen in North America and with top tier miners. The fact that we are deploying the world’s first Cat R2900 XE to go into production with Westgold, which is a WA mid-tier gold miner, highlights a number of things. First, the WA mining sector is the most innovative in the world and will readily adopt new technologies if there are sustainability and productivity gains to be made. And second, that innovation and first use in production is not just the domain of large operators. As a medium-sized owner-operator, Westgold has several operations that will certainly see the Cat R2900 XE put to the test.

Bramwell and Wilding agree, saying the machine will be tested extensively in blasting and caving applications. “Westgold miners are eagerly awaiting this machine and ready to put it into operation,” Bramwell said. The Cat R2900 XE underground loader is initially heading to Westgold’s Fortnum gold mining operation, 150km northwest of Meekatharra, for use in the Starlight underground mine.

Nov. 4—We hope everyone is as excited as we are about the Pet Calendar Poll Semi-Finals starting Monday.

Twenty-six pets have qualified for the semi-finals – and voters will decide which of those 12 pets will feature in an upcoming pet calendar by voting November 7-12.

The final round of voting will take place Nov. 14-18 to determine which of the 12 finalists will appear on the cover of the Pet Calendar.

Anyone can pay a fee of 25 cents per vote each of the last two rounds for the pet they want to be on the pet schedule.

Anyone can buy any number of votes for any of the pets in the final round. Anyone can submit their vote and payment at the News-Capital offices at 500 S. Main St. in McAlester or by mailing it to PO Box 987, McAlester, OK 74502.

Here is a list of the semi-finalists and the number of votes each received:

The News-Capital launched the Pet Calendar last year as a fun way to help the Pittsburg County Animal Shelter.

A portion of the proceeds from this project goes toward purchasing needed items for the Pittsburg County Animal Shelter. Last year, newspaper staff loaded up a truck full of food, treats, blankets, beds, toys and more which was delivered to the animal shelter.

The News-Capital has included every pet submitted by the nomination deadline in the first two rounds of voting this year.

In two rounds of online-only voting on the News-Capital website, voters chose their favorites and the pets they wanted to promote.

This is a fun and interactive way to help out the local animal shelter and we hope as many people as possible can participate.

The students of Burnett Junior High School will take the stage this week in a family production that is sure to bring back childhood memories.

Performances of this year’s musical, “Seussical Jr.” are scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 3-4 at the Wylie East High School Auditorium, located at 3000 Wylie E. Drive. Tickets are available for purchase at the door for $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Wylie ISD staff can attend shows free of charge.

The musical will transport audiences to Whoville as Horton the Elephant ventures to hear a Who trying to save him while those around him are skeptical that Whos exist.

Along the way, Horton meets JoJo, the child of the mayor of Whoville. The cat from “The Cat in the Hat” recounts different adventures of JoJo and Horton as the plot progresses.

Eventually, JoJo saves the Whos from their impending doom, and Horton befriends Gertrude McFuzz.

Director Carley King said she was thrilled to have the opportunity for her students to show off their hard work over the past two months of rehearsal and technical design.

“I am so proud of our students. They have so much talent,” King said. “We can’t wait for you to see them shine on Thursday and Friday.”

Seventh grader Khashikha Chandrasekr portrays JoJo and she said she was thrilled to recreate some of her childhood stories.

“I was such a big Dr. Seuss fan. You could come to my house and see all the Dr. Seuss books at home,” Khashikha said. memories.”

Eighth-grade Jackson Mills, who plays Horton, agreed.

“My childhood was basically just Dr. Seuss,” Jackson said. “To be able to relive my early childhood is incredible.”

Kylie Waters, also in eighth grade, brings the production to life as a lighting technician and said she watched the movies a lot as a child.

“Technically, I can recreate some of the outfits, drawings and paintings,” Kylie said.

Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief

To Lewiston residents traveling on Center Street who have noticed exterior construction at the Gather American Eatery: this is just the beginning.

Gallo-Restaurant owner Michael Hibbard is renovating his popular restaurant, which opened in March 2020.

Outside, “we’re replacing from ground level, up to three feet – everything will be brick,” Hibbard said. “So like a more modern look. And then we repaint the whole exterior and install brand new light fixtures. Just a more modern and updated look.

“All the windows on the outside, they’re open – a bit more like Gallo – so it’s like an indoor/outdoor space,” he said. “It is also a major change. In the summer, it’s going to look and feel totally different.

Inside, “we’re doing more,” Hibbard explained. “There was like a wall that separated the dining room and the bar. We removed this wall. We’re redoing the bar. The bar is going to be totally different. New counters, new facade, new floor. The entire building will have new flooring. Improved painting. It will be more of a bar atmosphere, with small plates.

Despite the ongoing volume of work, Hibbard said he hopes to reopen Gather by Gallo by the end of this year – “But it all depends on the construction,” he said.

Hibbard noted, “We’re ahead of what we thought we would be.”

The restorer received a facade grant from Niagara County. More than that, however, “what changed for us was that we bought the building,” Hibbard said. “Before, we rented it from the previous owner, who was great. I can’t say enough good things about him – he’s been amazing during the pandemic and really helped us. He approached us; asked if we wanted to buy the building; and it was just the right place at the right time, and the numbers worked. So when we decided we could buy the building, that’s when we decided to close and start the renovations.

“It needed updating, and just a bit more modernising, and I feel like changing it to be more of a bar with small plates, I think it needed a updated look.”

In addition to owning Gather (453 Center St.) and Gallo Coal Fire Kitchen (402 Center St.), Hibbard offers a line of pizza doughs and sauces in partnership with “Iron Chef” and Food Network personality Geoffrey Zakarian.

More renovations along Center Street

• On Monday, the Lewiston Design Committee announced that the large sign near the Niagara Scenic Parkway entrance had been removed by the New York State Department of Transportation. (Read the full story here.)

The committee said the sign, which had stood at the intersection for more than 60 years, was “too large, unnecessary and contrary to the historic character of the village. The removal follows the deconstruction of another large sign, next to the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce office, which was taken down several months ago.

Organizer Lee Simonson said, “We want to thank Mayor Welch for inviting us to join her at a planning meeting at the DOT offices in Buffalo a few years ago. We made our case and the DOT was very cooperative in helping us achieve our goals. There is still a lot of work to do, but we are making significant progress” in removing the signs.

• On Thursday, MP Angelo Morinello joined Mayor Anne Welch to review the renovations to the Academy Park washroom facility.

The work included a new roof and new paint.

“New York State recently completed a bike path from Niagara Scenic Parkway, which terminated at Seneca and North Ninth Street in the Village of Lewiston,” Welch said. “Continuing the trail along North Ninth Street through Academy Park will provide restrooms and a bike repair station, and is adjacent to the Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Centre, creating a hub for users of the path. This Academy Park restroom upgrade will accommodate park users and cyclists on the Greenway Trail.

“We are very grateful for the support and assistance of Assemblyman Angelo Morinello in securing $50,000 in funding through the New York State Department of Transportation for the restoration and the renovation of the toilets at Academy Park.”

Fence replacement was moved this week to areas in front of Orange Cat Coffee Co.

• Fox Fence continues to install new white picket fences along Center Street. (Read the full story here.) A month ago, the Lewiston Village Board voted to spend $94,486 on the project, noting that some fenced areas were broken and beyond repair, while others had posts missing.

Welch said, “We don’t have fences anymore. And the ones we have left are so deteriorated.

Residents Tasia Fitzpatrick (member of the Planning and Beautification Commissions) and Susan Hofert (member of the Historic Preservation Commission) are overseeing the fence replacement project.

In September, Fitzpatrick said: “We know that’s part of the charm (of the village). At Christmas, we hang our wreaths. There are fewer places to hang them now, of course, because there’s nothing left to hang them on. They crumble; they cannot be repaired.

Hofert added: “Wherever there was, there will still be. The new fence will extend from the south side of Center Street from Academy Park to the home of the late Bruce Sutherland at 605 Center (except for the metal fence in front of CVS and Rite Aid plazas); and at Stevens & Lewiston Insurance on the north side of the road.

Fitzpatrick said: “(Fox Fence) told me they were confident – not 100%, but confident – that they would have it (completed) by November 12, in time for Christmas this year. “

It’s bad enough when your pet is sick or injured, but often the vet bills that follow add to your pain. Fortunately, animal insurancea type of health insurance for dogs and cats, can help you save money on veterinary costs and may even cover them completely.

Pet insurance costs can vary greatly by lender and breed. Since dogs are larger and generally require more medication and sedation than cats, pet insurance premiums are generally higher for dogs than for cats. But the costs vary greatly depending on the breed.

If you are looking for pet insurance – or want to add more pets to the coverage you already have – getting started is easy. Contact a pet insurance expert now for get a free quote.

Here are the cheapest and most expensive breeds to insure.

Cheap dog breeds to insure (and why)

According to a LendEDU Analysis Spot Pet Insurance data for 114 dog and cat breeds, the three most affordable breeds with the lowest average overall premiums are:

  1. English Springer Spaniel: $33.56 per month
  2. Miniature Yorkshire Terrier: $37.24 per month
  3. Goldendoodle: $39.62 per month

It’s no surprise that the first two breeds are the cheapest dog breeds to insure. The English Springer Spaniel and Miniature Yorkshire Terrier are small breeds known to live long and healthy lives.

Given their larger size, it’s a bit of a surprise that Goldendoodles have some of the cheapest pet insurance premiums. This cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle typically lives an average of 12 to 15 years but may face some health issues including elbow and hip dysplasia, eye problems and heart disease.

Interestingly, dog insurance can be cheaper for mixed breeds because the inherited health issues associated with a breed of dog are less likely to be inherited and their immune systems are more balanced.

Expensive dog breeds to insure (and why)

The most expensive breeds to insure with dog insurance are those known to be susceptible to many health issues. According to LendEDU’s analysis, these three breeds carry the most expensive pet insurance premiums:

  1. Newfoundland : $100.79 per month
  2. Mastiff of Bordeaux: $94.19 per month
  3. Jack Russell Terrier: $89.53

The Newfoundland and the Dogue de Bordeaux are massive dogs, weighing up to 150 and 140 pounds respectively. Newfoundlands are known to be friendly with children, but unfortunately the breed often faces many inherited health issues later in life. Hip dysplasia, narrowed heart valves, and kidney stones are a few health issues Newfies face.

For their part, Dogue De Bordeaux are large mastiffs who are exceptional watchdogs, but many struggle with tricuspid valve dysplasia, narrowed heart valves, and droopy lower eyelids.

The Jack Russell Terrier is a small, spirited breed that weighs only 13 to 17 pounds and has an average lifespan of 10 to 15 years. So why is it one of the most expensive dog breeds to insure? Although Jack Russell Terriers live long and healthy lives, they can develop breed-associated health issues, including deafness and patellar luxation, which may require surgery.

With the higher average monthly premiums for these dog breeds, it may be wise to buy pet insurance to offset the cost of care and treatment. Speak to a representative who can help you find a profitable plan.

Cheap cat breeds to insure (and why)

Cats are generally less expensive to insure than dogs, and these breeds may have the most affordable monthly premiums:

  1. Mumbai: $25.73 per month
  2. Siberian: $28.30 per month
  3. Domestic Shorthair: $30.09 per month

According to the ASPCA Pet Health InsuranceThe top five insurance claims for Bombay cats are:

  • Respiratory problems
  • Unstable stomach
  • Pneumonia
  • Bronchitis
  • Asthma

The main disease of Siberian cats is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), reports the insurer. HCM can lead to heart failure, so it’s wise to get screened by your veterinarian.

The Domestic Shorthair is the most common breed of cat in the United States and among the cheapest to insure. These felines generally have no dietary restrictions, but they are sedentary creatures that can become overweight.

Be aware that all cats can suffer from a wide range of illnesses, from mites and skin disorders to kidney disease and cancer. Animal insurance can help avoid some of these problems if your provider offers a wellness plan that helps cover veterinary exams and preventative care.

Explore your options now.

Expensive cat breeds to insure (and why)

So which feline breed has the highest cat insurance costs?

  1. Abyssinian: $41.82 per month
  2. Persian: $41.32 per month
  3. Rag doll: $37.98 per month

Besides being beautiful family cats, Assyssinians have a ticked coat pattern like cougars and other wild cats. Although these cats can live to be 15+ years old, they can inherit serious health issues like upper respiratory infections, inflammatory bowel disease, and mycoplasma, a disease of the red blood cells.

Persians are known for their striking beauty and snub noses. But the shape of their nose often restricts their breathing and can even lead to respiratory health issues. Persians have also been known to develop eye problems such as cherry eye, a cat’s slipped third eyelid, and entropion (when a cat’s eyelids begin to push inward toward the eyes). eye).

Did you know that it takes a Ragdoll cat four years to reach full size, up to 20 pounds for boys and 15 pounds for girls? Unfortunately, these friendly felines usually deal with kidney disease, stomach issues, and heart murmurs.

Unfortunately, illnesses and ailments aren’t the only causes of cat insurance claims. Cats have an inquisitive nature which often leads them into accidents causing injury. Although we don’t like to think of such a tragedy affecting our furry loved ones, having pet insurance can be worth it contribute to reducing the costs of veterinary care and treatment.

Pet insurance costs depend on coverage

As we’ve seen, pet insurance prices can vary by breed, with average monthly premiums ranging from around $30 to $100 for dogs and $25 to $42 for cats. These premiums are average for accident and sickness cover. Keep in mind, however, that you could pay less or more than these amounts, depending on the coverage options you choose.

For example, many pet insurance providers offer accident-only coverage for as little as $15 per month for dogs and $7 for cats. Depending on your insurer, you may be able to purchase additional preventative care for exams, vaccinations and other services. In addition, you can adjust the amount of your annual benefit, deductibleand reimbursement percentage to build coverage that meets your needs and budget.

While most insurers only offer pet insurance for dogs and cats, some can help you save money on veterinary bills for other animals. Here are the average monthly premiums for the following animals, according to Nationwide.

  • Bird: $15.75
  • exotic animals: $9
  • Reptiles: $8
